Of course my hand was good. UTG had K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]; the others didn't show.

I was so worried about another check-raise that I checked the river. I was still nervous about KQ as I thought one of the others had the club draw.

The game was good, but then suddenly seven players left almost simultaneously. I wound up giving back a lot of my win in shorthanded play. I think the problem was too much Q2o play.

I agree that the river is an obvious value bet after UTG checks, but I disagree with some of the advice given regarding not raising the flop. Yes, you can try waiting till the turn, but why assume that UTG will bet the turn again? Let's say the flop action instead went bet, call, call, call. Many players will then be too timid to bet out again. This may be especially true for a flush draw which may be hoping that the turn gets checked around. So except for the river bet, I think hero played it fine.

I think your hand is too vulnerable to not 3-bet on the turn. If you are behind to 2 pair, you clean up outs. If you are ahead to 1 pair hands, you eliminate 2 pair drawers.
