Re: $1/$2 Stud High - Stubborn straight draw
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe this raise was goofy, but I thought I was being bullied and wanted to see how serious these guys were. I probably would have folded to a re-raise. [/ QUOTE ] Of course you were being goofy, what a horrible raise! I don't have to go any further with this hand, the bad play was made and the rest just followed... JMO - Knoll |

Re: $1/$2 Stud High - Stubborn straight draw
By sixth street, you've seen 18 cards. Eight of the remaining 34 cards will give you a straight. That's a little more than 3:1 against. So if you were sure your straight would be good if you hit it, you could call a cap. Of course, if it capped, it's extremely unlikely that your straight will be good. It probably won't be more than one or two bets on sixth, so you can probably call. Sure, you can easily make your straight and lose, but the pot is pretty big.

[ QUOTE ] Fifth: call. No other play to make. [/ QUOTE ] OK, I just felt bullied and maybe that raise was some steam. [/ QUOTE ] Good job padding your post count |
