The flop bet here is probably not good. If one person folds, like MP2 did, you lose your equity edge (32% to make your straight by the river vs. 33.3% of the money you put in the pot). If UTG+1 raises and 2 fold, your implied odds go right in the toilet. Just c/c the flop, if no one bets, c/f the turn--this pot is pretty small. Otherwise, given how you acted on the flop, the turn is fine as well as the river--DO NOT c/r the river here--most players at this level will see the flush and check through.

I think this was a very thin +EV call on the turn, but with button along for the ride you're probably just getting the implied odds to make it. The way this hand played out I don't think you could know for sure 'til the river whether anyone was drawing to the flush. With pot size in mind it would've been no big deal to fold the turn, but I still think it was probably a marginally +EV call. NH. |
