Going to a concert tomorrow

Been since 1992 since I saw them but they were great then. Meantime is a great album and I'm sure they'll play plenty from it. I say it will be worth it.

So i went and saw helmet on sat. The over all show was pretty decent. The crowd was along the older side mainly late 20s and up. The first band was horrible by far one of the worst bands i have ever seen. They only had 5 people down stairs watching them. So i sat up at the bar and got a decent buzz. There wasnt many people at the show yet so everyone was like WTF no one is showing up. But 5 mins before helmet came on everyone showed up.

Helmet played for about 1-1/2 hours they did something i havent seen any band do before they asked the crowd what songs they wanted to hear and then they played them. I thought this was a cool idea most bands do this for like 1 or 2 songs but not a whole set. The only song that they would not play is Sinatra. I have no idea why they would not play this song i guess maybe its played out.

About half way thru there set Page Hamilton stops singing and just starts goin on and on about some crazy SH IT. He starts talking about everyone in the band and what they have been doing and how there life is going and what ever else he can think of. He does this for a good 20 mins and the crowd starts getting kinda mad and starts yelling for him to shut the fcuk up. He finally starts singing again and everyone is happy.

Over all the show was really good there was a small mosh pit and most of the people where pretty layed back. There was this one guy who decided to jump off the balcony durning the last song of the night i was really hoping the dude would just slam against the ground but no luck. So i would recommed that anyone who has a chance to see these guys do so.
