Re: Turn play with the nut flush.
[ QUOTE ]
Nah. I was definetly sure I had bet the flop. Most propably I checked because I was paying attention at another table. I don't know about the pf cold call though. I think it's borderline but maybe I should have folded. I don't feel like I'm tilting. My pf play is still the same. I don't have that attitude to call with a junk hand just to make up for a bad beat. Maybe my tilting is cold calling in marginal situations. [/ QUOTE ] Unless you know both blinds will call for sure, I think it's a bad preflop call. This should be an automatic flop bet and turn raise (if UTG+1 bets, this is still an automatic raise for me...). If you have to even bother to think about these situations (or worse, don't understand why -- please elaborate why in this thread, just for checkup.), your downstreak is surely not completely due to variance, and you should definitely try to play less tables if this is the case. -Adam |

Re: Turn play with the nut flush.
I did raise the turn instantly, but then I remembered another thread when someone said, "Why would you wanna raise here? You don't want people to fold". That's what I'm asking

That's what I'm asking [/ QUOTE ] I don't really mind calling here given what we know. I like raising too though. The preflop coldcall is a significant mistake though IMO. It is one thing to play it when you have the lead, but it is much tougher when you don't. |
