Checking the turn is bad. Combined with the small bet on the flop (which I don't actually hate, by the way) it effectively gives your opponent 2 free cards if he's drawing to a higher set or Broadway.
Betting small or checking on the flop and turn, and then making a massive all-in bet on the river, is a betting pattern that is almost always wrong regardless of what you hold. I agree with Harrington that you are supposed to lose all your chips here. Almost no online tournament has stacks deep enough to get away from set-over-set. |
