Re: Why not bet the \"Don\'t Pass\" line after a point is established?
[ QUOTE ]
It's also a long term winner to place your roulette bets after the ball has stopped [/ QUOTE ] That sounds like it would have a low variance, also. Will this strategy be covered in your new book, Getting Started in Roulette |

Re: Why not bet the \"Don\'t Pass\" line after a point is established?
[ QUOTE ]
I understand that it would be "going against the table", but isn't it a long term winner to bet the "Don't Pass" line once a point is made? Especially if the point is a 4, 5, 9, or 10 where the edge on rolling a 7 is quite large? [/ QUOTE ] You can't do this directly, but sometimes you will find a don't player that will take his don't pass bet down if the point is 6 or 8 (which the house will allow you to do). If you find one of these guys, you can work a deal to "buy" his 6 and 8 points. |

Many teams in the past have placed bets after the fact and gotten away with it. There's also the move of taking back larger bets (after they lose) and replacing them with smaller bets. These don't work too well anymore after being exposed in a few books. |

Re: Why not bet the \"Don\'t Pass\" line after a point is established?
I wonder if dice setters could fare better with a strategy that bet on the "Don't Pass" line?
If they can increase their chance of throwing a 7, then they should be able to decrease the chance as well. Which would enable them to set a point, make the maximum allowed second bet on the 'don't pass' line (can you bet 2x or more?), set the dice so that 7 is more likely to be thrown, and then roll away. On a number like 4 or 9, where there are 3 combinations to make the point and 6 combinations to hit the 7, getting 6:5 on your 'don't pass' second bet is +EV, right? Or is my thinking off kilter because although you are a 2:1 favorite to roll the 7, you are only getting paid 6 bucks for every 5 that you put out there? Plus the initial risk on the first roll. |

Re: Why not bet the \"Don\'t Pass\" line after a point is established?
D'oh!
I originally put 10, then changed it to 9 because I could only think of 10 the hard way. Oops, it should be 4 & 10 since 10 can be made with 5-5, 6-4, or 4-6. Thanks! |

Capping and pinching bets and past posting are cheating, pure and simple. |
