I might 3-bet pf because I posted so I could get it heads up. Raise flop.

really? you're gonna have to explain this to me. you're 3-betting against an unknown at an unknown table just because you can get it HU against an EP raiser? please explain.

what do you think EP raiser has and what are you basing it on?

I'm getting a discount to 3-bet into a bigger pot.

hmm..yeah, i still don't get it. did you learn this somewhere? it seems it is because you are getting a discount that you're in the hand, not that that discount should be reasoned for a raise. because if you hadn't posted, i'd hope you'd fold. would you 3-bet an unknown EP if you hadn't posted? i don't see how this is any different.

Let's do a number crunch. I've never seen how to formally do one either. If someone could show a good one, that would be really cool.

I think I'd just call down here unless a fourth spade fell. Some hands he has beat you, but some don't. He could have JJ or QQ w/ one spade. ATs and KQs are other possibilities. I don't see much value in raising, weaker hands will fold and stronger hands will call or raise.

grunching...
I would raise. The flush could scare him too. You could also get to see the river for cheap if you want.
If he re--raises, I would release probably.

my default line tends to be calling the flop bet and raising a safe turn plus folding if bet into by a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I also tend to sit back a bit when I just get in on a table and feel out how aggressive my opponents are.

Your hand could easily be dominated. If the board were not monotone, this would be an easy call, call, call.

The board being monotone makes QQ,JJ,TT,99 with a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] all hands that you would like to charge a little.
But I still don't think this is a good idea.

The fact that you posted adds a little twist, but villain is still not going to fold a hand that beats you.
(unless maybe if a spade hits on the turn). Call, call, call.

Well, are you suprised he bets into you on the flop after he raised preflop. Many people bet any flop after they raised pf.

I'd call down and raise if a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] falls. I would bet if he checks to me.

I am doing the no response reading deal.

I would call, and raise a non spade turn. If the turn is a non spade that does not improve our hand I would fold to a threebet.
