Re: BB, TP-NK
The game plays out much differently if you bet on the flop. You have something so bet it. Until somebody tells you otherwise assume you have the best hand with top pair.

[ QUOTE ] 2) check-raise a late bettor hoping to shut out the rest of the field [/ QUOTE ] There are 2 BB in the pot, check-raising is to make it 2 to call is like killing an ant with a BFG9000 [/ QUOTE ] I think he was refering to this type of situation in general, not this specific hand. I think I would follow this line also typically. |

Re: BB, TP-NK
I always bet out on the flop in this situation. I keep on betting unless the board gets scary, or I'm shown strength. If I'm last to act, I may check the river through.
I think I'm making money on these sorts of hands, because I'm usually only beat if someone make a raggedy two pair, or if someone has top-pair-still-no-kicker-but-slightly-better-than mine. I would normally expect hero to win this hand, with someone showing down a queen. |

Re: BB, TP-NK
Yeah the reason I posted this hand was because I basically didn't know what I was doing. The bet on the river was supposed to be more of a bluff bc it didnt' seem like anyone had a hand. For some reason I did not fear a straight at all.
By betting on the river, i felt that the other guy who bet the turn might call with a Q. I like the line that was posted by someone else, betting on the flop to see where I am, if raised, fold the turn unimproved. |
