Perhaps they are going to try to get a WPT or WSOP-circuit event that will require 100 tables in one of their convention rooms or something like that [/ QUOTE ] I don't know anything about the WSOP circuit. Any casino that wants to pay the WPT can have a WPT event. |

I'm guessing that eventually the WPO at the Tunica Horseshoe will eventually stop being a WPT event and become a WSOP Circuit event (they probably have a contract with WPT). |

Harrah's owns Caesar's IN now. My understand they will expand into the entire half of the the main deck where the poker room is located now.

Right - Harrah's is a monster now and they own Caesar's so it could be a WSOP event.
Regarding the WPO... I suspect you are correct that they might become WSOP-circuit. They were an ESPN event in 2002...then WPT in 2003, 4 and 5. Possibly the reason they were WPT for 2005 had to do with already being committed to that. Perhaps the WSOP-circuit concept came to late and if Gold Strike/Horseshoe had already committed to WPT again for that year they just decided to stick with it. but for future years it would certainly make sense if the WPO was a WSOP-circuit event instead. |

Ok, the skinny of it is that they are expanding to 30ish tables and they will be hosting WSOP circuit events. This is from multiple old hand dealers that I am buddies with.
