WTF are you doing in this forum is an equally good question. If you were a poker player - would you turn down a FREE shot at 2 million. Don't bash Annie, bash ESPN if you thinks its a bad decision. But linking the article thats way old doesen't mean anything. Big deal, Get a life buddy... |

Re: what is annie duke doing on the Tournament of Champions?
#1 Annie is generally regarded as a top pro, and definitely top 2 or 3 women, and i believe they wanted female representation.
#2 Annie has the 2nd best ever finish in the main event for a woman. #3 She won an event this year. #4 She is high profile #5 Jennifer Harman-Traniello was likely unavailable if you want to split hairs on best female player, due to health concerns. |

Is that link really Dan? I hadn't heard about any of that! [/ QUOTE ] This has been rehashed many, many times on this forum since I registered. Annie even looked past the slew of insults on this forum directed toward her to post about it herself. She said she and Daniel have talked about these instances, and basically he apologized for what he said in his posts. They might not be best friends, but they're at least civil now. As for the original poster, the great part about this forum is while it's a public forum, the owners of said forum have the power to decide who posts here. The way you're heading, you won't be posting much longer if you use the same tone in your posts that you have been. eMarkM basically raised the question *I think* you were making, but in a civil, debateable manner. I know this point will fall on deaf ears, and I don't know why I keep replying to these threads. But I can't help myself, some things need to be said. |

Re: what is annie duke doing on the Tournament of Champions?
Does anybody know what her beef was with one of "crew"?
ESPN showed some of her reactions but did a terrible job of explaining what happened. |

[/ QUOTE ] This was also discussed a lot, and Annie posted about it. If you do a search under her username "Annie Duke" you can probably find the post. In the incident you're referring to, Brett Jungblut mucked a hand after a player had asked to see it, which technically they had the right to do. Annie was seen on ESPN's coverage pointing out that fact. There was a lot of debate about mucking when asked to show, and a lot of posters here said they'd do the same thing as Brett. The threads are an interesting read if you find them. |
