That was a good play because the board was paired and based on the pot odds you were receiving, your bet made it hard for him to call, especially if he figured he may be a 4-1 or 5-1 favorite with a smaller pair. Therefore, your raise justified the strength of your hand as well as the odds of a paired board against your competetor. He never raised pre flop so he most likely just ahd a small pair in earlier position, so my opinion would be that you made the right play. Remember, only make plays like this if you are getting the right pot odds statistically.

meh, i'm not a fan of this play. i think we can find a much better spot to get the rest of his stack than this one.
