For everyone who likes a river check/call after a turn cap...

Why? We are capping the turn because we feel that we have the best hand. The only cards that can beat us on the river are the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. If the villian has one of those cards...he probably had us all the way and we should re-evaluate our turn cap. If we are good on 4th street, we are almost surely good on the end unless the villian has K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. We are missing out on way to much value by not betting since the villian will check behind with 2-pair or a straight (he is a 3:1 favorite NOT to have the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]) or a set when he would have called our river bet.

I never said I would bet/fold. I would bet/call the river in this spot.

Cap the turn, bet the river. Call a raise.

When the villian 3-bets the turn, you should give him credit for roughly the best 50% of possible flushes.

This in particular is seriously flawed when it comes to 1/2 6-max.

With no read on any of the players...cap the turn, bet/call the river.

I'm considering betting out on this river. I don't think he's got the Ace as he would likely have raised the flop, unless very passive. So he's got K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]X [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or your good.

I don't like capping the turn because then I feel I have to bet this river and could get raised again.

You don't know the 4th spade is coming...

I think you have to cap this turn. You are ahead here a lot (I don't know how to quantify it), and your opponent may have lots of outs against you (2pr/set->boat, 1-card flush draw).

I don't need to know that the 4th spade is coming. I think his hand is pretty well defined here. Either he has KT or he has a flush IMO. The only hand that can conceivably draw out against us is the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] paired with a non-spade Ten.

Anyway, the reason I said to call the turn 3bet and bet out the river was sort of a compromise. I'm not sure I have the best hand, but there's only a few hands that can actually beat us here. If I cap the turn and bet the river I will get raised if I am behind. However, since I think we are good here slightly more than 50% I want to make sure the river doesn't check through. Perhaps I'm missing some value by not capping the turn, but I am also saving a bet when I am behind - there is no chance I cap this turn and check-call the river.
