The blind structure of the WPT is killing the show. It is turning it into an all-in fest. I find myself changing the channel with the new episodes they no longer glue me in. It is a sad thing when the first season episodes are better than the new ones today. The older the episodes the better they are.
Are the WPT wigs just dumb? doesnt any of them ever stop to think that maybe the blinds are already too high at the start of the final table, that maybe they just shouldn't have the blinds go up any more? after all the final table ain't live so why have the blinds go up to insane levels that will kill the action and turn it into an all in fest? I don't understand forcing the tournament to end with the blind rises when the show is not even live. |

If the crowd hoots everytime one of the trio comes on screen ala Married With Children your idea is perfect.
And if Mike Sexton flushes a toliet at random times. |

[ QUOTE ]
"He's got a REAL hand Mike. A wired-pair of 5's." Crowd - Moderate laughter "This is what happens when you get your hand caught in the cookie jar Vince." Crowd - More moderate laughter "Oh...he's just SICK about that one Mike." "He'll be remembering this hand for the next 50 years I can tell you Vince." Crowd - Wild hysterical laughter There's DEFINITELY some potential for this idea. [/ QUOTE ] hhahahahaha awesome |

I agree. The blinds at the final table are too high and the escalation is ridiculous. I think, as has been said before, it cuts filming time/production costs down, and the WPT feels all the casual fans want are all-in showdowns anyway, not good poker.
This season it is harder than ever to see the board cards and the percentages. More bells and whistles, less solid content. Frank |

My favorite Sextonism is:
I'm sure we'll be seeing more of >insert name of any unknown final table player who doesn't win< on the WPT. He repeats so many things, I wonder if they are all the same track just re-used in their very long post production, their turn around time is like 6 months. >TW< |
