Re: top two in unraised pot on BB
I don't mind going to the felt with top two at these stakes because people are in there mixing it up with a lot worse. That being said, if I knew the opponent was somewhat reasonable, I'm probably re-raising to $3 and folding to a push. People here aren't likely to get tricky with a set. Therefore, if he just calls my raise, I'm pushing the turn and expecting to be ahead of either a draw, a strong ace, or a weaker two pair. If he pushes it in on the flop, I'm giving him credit for a set (obviously most likely 66) and folding.

[ QUOTE ]
suppose you call and a scary card comes check/fold ? [/ QUOTE ] my line of reasoning would be: turn play #1 - Scare Card hits we lead the turn for $2, he: 1A - folds; yay 1B - raises; we can fold 1C - calls; he's probably got us beat 5 ways. check/fold the river turn play #2 - No scare card 2A - folds; yay? 2B - raises; he probably has a set or AK...flip a coin twice - heads-heads push, otherwise fold 2C - calls; he's on a draw or has a strong A. there's an outside chance that he has a set. i'd probably check/call the river here. |
