[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'm an internet player. Been playing 8 months casually and a fairly ept* player IIDSSMS**. [/ QUOTE ] I beleive you mean apt which is the opposite of inept. [/ QUOTE ] I believe you mean adept. [/ QUOTE ] inept adj. 1. Not apt or fitting; inappropriate. 2.<ul type="square">[*] 1. Displaying a lack of judgment, sense, or reason; foolish: an inept remark. [*] 2. Bungling or clumsy; incompetent: inept handling of the account.
[Latin ineptus : in-, not; see in-1 + aptus, suitable; see apt.] But in the context used, adept would be the opposite. |

It's like any other sport... you don't stop running/shooting/carrying the ball etc. until the whistle is blown and the Ref is stopping the action.
I just hold onto my cards until the dealer looks at me and asks for them back. |

Though it does give the image of a clueless idiot. Hmm, maybe I'll start... |

Re: B&M costly newbie error - DON\'T DO WHAT I DID!!!
Wow! Just came across this post after doing a search for "Melbourne" I was there when this happened and I remember it well, especially the pair of fours winning! I was the one on the (non-folding) end of the table (to the dealer's left) leading the pack giving you heaps (in a friendly way of course...) That was a great night and yes I love the loose passives that abound on the 4/8 tables at crown. (I am certainly not one of them!) Now when I tell this story I can add that it made it as a post on the 2+2 forum. I could but I wont. Don't want those laggies getting in on my advantage over them. Anyway, hope you enjoyed you time at with us in Melbourne. Thanks for posting this, I'ld say that's it worth about 15 seconds of fame for both of us.
