With less in the pot, it looked like an easy fold to me.

This is NEVER an easy fold. Empire 100+9 != WPT 10K.

You can argue that it's a close fold...but calling it an easy fold is dumb.

I hate the giant reraise so very much, but it does make the fold more OK than it would be otherwise. Still, I probably call.

In the meantime, does your friend want to pick up some actual chips on his big pairs?

For those wondering, Villain showed KK and HHIG. I must have slightly messed the numbers up, but Hero had around 900 after the hand. So he wasn't in desperate chip position. But I'm still torn on whether the call was correct or not.

Is it really that giant of a re-raise? There are 210 chips in the pot and 5 players have already limped or called. How much do you raise here into 5 players (not counting the blinds)?

Maybe I meant to say an _easier_ fold, had there been less chips in the pot. The LRR, after a raise, and reraise, screamed aces, but with that much dead money in the pot, I think its close.

Even say 160 or 180 will narrow it down to 1 or 2.

The reraise to 250 is nowhere near giant. There are 210 chips in the pot, 5 players in the pot, and raising to 160 or 180 is giving too good of odds to the original callers, especially if someone behind Hero comes in. I like the size.

There's 190 in the pot and one thing your raise practically guarantees is that unless someone has a monster you're winning exactly 190.

May be a moot point, but 10+20+20+40+40+40+40=210. And if hero does happen to take the pot down right there, I don't see the problem. You may be losing value from hands like 88 or AJ that may call, but pricing others in when you have QQ is generally not a good idea.

Oops, missed the other 20. And why do you really really want to take down 210 when you're gonna have something like 60% flop equity in a 3 way pot worth 600 and people that can't fold top pair, instead?
