Re: Eagles Organization = Classless
[ QUOTE ]
2)Blaming TO for the fight with Hugh Douglas and then using it against him. Do any of you know the TRUE story behind what happened here? Hugh Douglas is not an Eagle, he is just some hired shill who is an "ambassador" to the team, whatever the hell that is, and does some pregame radio show. Hugh Douglas went into the trainers room while TO was in there hurt (notice TO never missed a game) and proclamed that people in there were faking injuries. If you were TO, who no one should ever question him faking being hurt especially a shill for the Eagles, wouldn't this set you off also? [/ QUOTE ] Ask any former 49ers players. T.O. loves to fake injuries, just enough so he doesn't have to practice. Then he comes to the rescue on Sunday by being healthy. Remember, it was T.O. who had stated his ankle hurt so bad he would be out for two weeks. Amazingly though he was healthy enough to fight Douglas and then was going to be fine to play if he didn't get tossed off of the team. The Eagles made a deal with the devil to get them to the Superbowl. They did and then the devil came for their soul. They can't complain. I just think T.O. made it much worse for himself with all of this crap and has made it near impossible for him to ever get the money he wants. And every team in the NFL would try and file tampering charges for that. |

Re: Eagles Organization = Classless
[ QUOTE ]
It would have went a LONG way to patching up their relationship with TO [/ QUOTE ] what gives you any indication that this could be true? TO's long history of loyalty and respect to those that treat him right? [ QUOTE ] The Eagles, being a "class" organization, filed a complaint with the league because NFL bylaws prohibit "any interference by a member club with the employer-employee relationship of another club or any attempt by a club to impermissibly induce a person to seek employment with that club or with the NFL." Give me a break Eagles... grow the [censored] up already. You're turning into worse than TO at this point. [/ QUOTE ] the Eagles totally have this right, and they are obligated to do so to protect their best interests. This signing was a train wreck for them, and they are trying to salvage it by not turning his release/trade/whatever into yet another media circus/tampering situation. |

[ QUOTE ] I agree. and as an eagle fan of 20 years i am sorely disappointed in them. and hijacking... andy reid is absolutely terrible at drafting players. they really need to seperate coach/GM. it just doesnt work. [/ QUOTE ] First in terms of the original post the eagles did not recognize T.O.'s 100TD because the origanization does not recognize individual acheivements. Second Andy Reid is so terrible at drafting that he drafted Donovan Mcnabb, Corey Simon,Lito Sheppard, Sheldon Brown(2), Michael Lewis(2), Brian Westbrook (3), L.J. Smith, Shawn Andrews has been good when he was healthy the Eagles have been one of the best organizations of the past 5 years and a lot of that is good drafting. [/ QUOTE ] you have no idea what you are talking about. |

I don't know, 2003 looks pretty good to me too.
As for 2005, you can't judge it yet. Prob 2004 too. But to say 2005 was anything is ludicrous. |

Re: Eagles Organization = Classless
Well, McDougle doesn't get graded. Hasn't Jamaal Green contributed?
Note: I haven't seen much of the Eagles this year, I'm not a fan etc. Another note: the 2002 draft was better than good. It was great. |

Re: Eagles Organization = Classless
How can you say the 2005 draft was no good? We just don't know yet. Patterson, Brown, Moats, Cole could all be good -- Cole especially is looking like a steal in the 5th round.
