Re: KJs UTG
[ QUOTE ]
dont raise UTG with maginal holdings (unless its against me) flop call is good but if you are going to win the hand it needs to be on the turn with a 25-30$ raise. river bet is way to small, youre giving him 2.5-1 and any decent player will call you down there even with a marginal holding. i fold this river every time. i dont even try to bluff for 45 because he has bet the whole way and will call you for 45 IMO [/ QUOTE ] Only $17 to call into $61 pot, should be easy (over 3.5-1 on his call). If you're going to raise, go bigger but I would think turn is a better place for a move. If called you have the river still to catch. Calls of small bets all the way smell of a draw and you weakly raised your busted draws. |

Re: KJs UTG
The preflop raise works fine for me, I don't see what is so bad with it, and it makes money for me. The player seemed to be reasonably intelligent, and I wanted it to look like a value raise.

lay the coals to this guy. pot flop. b/c he is loose, and pot gives u a good amount for turn push.

Villain thinks a bit, says "I know you have a 7, and then folds. They way I think of it now, it might look like a seven, because I have been so passive. Oh, do people really hate this raise at 6-max?

Re: Results
In a vacuum the raise isn't bad, there are just better ways to play this hand.
