Re: 11.5 g poker chips
I sampled at least 20-25 chips. I saw their add in CardPlayer mag and called them up. They sent out a sample and I loved it. It took me about a year to find the right chip. No complaints with them. Funny thing, I ordered them about 6 months ago and called them up and Les. the owner remembered me. funny

Re: 11.5 g poker chips
You could always just buy a few racks at your local casino. I've thought about buying 5 racks of Commerce $1 chips but getting that much metal through Airport security may be a problem.

Re: 11.5 g poker chips- I agree w/ daryn
Friend of mine just got the set of 500 11.5g chips from ebay. He loves them, I don't. They are actually heavier than a real casino chip and are too smooth. I find that real clay chips have a little "grip" to them (could just be the filth at the Taj).

Re: 11.5 g poker chips
I bought the dice chips with the metal inserts. Although not truly clay, they do well for my very low stakes home game, and I got the set for about $.21/chip which is much lower than the real clay chips. Granted, I'd love real chips, but it seems wrong to have the chip cost more than the value it represents (we play with $.25, $.50 and $1 values).

Re: 11.5 g poker chips
I got mine from http://www.pokerchips.com/ and am VERY happy with them. A little more expensive than normal, but well worth it.

Re: 11.5 g poker chips
what would be the name of the type of chip i seen on the WSOP. they look glossy plastic type. they use them in canterbury park in MN. and also saw them at the Aviator Club on the WPT. pretty sure they were on another WPT too. any idea on where to buy those? i prefer that style over the clay or composite with insert.
