Honestly, I think it's best to have no picture. That way people are less likely to recognize you or remember how you play. It's one less mnemonic clue for your opponents. (Kinda boring, though.)

Do you really think it makes a difference? Anybody sophisticated enough to play differently against you because you have a 'donk' avatar, is sophisticated enough to judge you by your play.

If you dont have a picture, dont you think your opponents can take notes on you as easily? I remember playing against a player named "empty seat' a few times a few years ago and his pic was of the empty seat button to sit down, I wonder how many people tries to click and sit there, and the eye pics I agree are stupid, as well as the kids pics. Well, theres my .02 for the week

I tend to think not so highly of all the people with images of Teddy KGB or any other Rounders character

No +/- EV comments here, but I do have a question. There's a certain picture I've seen on Stars, used by about 30 or 40 people, and I can't figure out why it's such a big deal. It's a medium-bluish picture of a tree covered mountain pass/ridgeline, looking right at the intersection of two ridges. I have no idea what's so special about it that so many people should use it.

Not sure, but you may be refering to a picture of buring mountain of cow sh*t that showed up some time again. It's pretty popular here too (esp in the OOT forum)

I know what you're talking about, and I was wondering the same thing (re: the weird blueish tree)
