8. Atlanta Braves: OK, they lost Leo Mazzone. But don't cry for the Braves, who were blessed in '05 with a boatload of contributing rookies. Jeff Francoeur and company will be a year older, to go with vets Andruw Jones, Chipper Jones and John Smoltz. They'll compete for a 15th straight NL East title, but it has to end sooner or later.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would love to play any betting game with the ESPN experts. 5 straight years "The Braves are overdue to lose the division. It has to happen this year."

Losing Leo Mazzone may really hurt though.

Regarding the Angels. I would love to know how MacPherson is all of a sudden going to emerge and contribute with Vlad. This is the same overhyped dumbbell who didnt even make the post season roster yet good enough with all that potential to not resign Glaus.

MacPherson sucks, and sadly, we need Manny.

[censored] jim thome

I don't get why people still don't buy into wickman as a closer- he missed parts of 2003-2004- but still had 30/37 and 32/35 saves in 02/03. Hes had other solid years aswell. He will never be the best in the league but he gets it done often enought hat though he scares the crap out of the fans he deserves his managers confidence.
Right field is a hole and i would rather take manny back- [censored] jim thome, hes a piece of [censored] and we don't want that [censored] back.

Leave it to ESPN to rate the defending National League Champions behind the Brewers.

[/ QUOTE ]

probably because they know the Brew Crew makes the playoffs in 06

Umm..they only had 89 wins and were the wildcard - and barely made the playoffs. They were hardly a powerhouse team.

Please. They have two decent starting pitchers, and one of them is hurt half the time!

If the Brewers finish third behind the Astros and Cards its considered a successful season for them. Playoffs? Stop dreaming.
