Re: QJs- hate this hand
I have a differing opinion on this hand.
I think you should check call the whole way down. Putting in extra bets is bad since you are probably behind or close to it. Check raising the flop for information so you can fold on the turn is bad since you have as many as 9 outs (against AK, AA), and might get bluffed off the best hand. Check calling the flop and check folding the turn is bad because you are ahead a good percentage of the time -- he could have 88, TT, JTs, QJs, AQ, AT. check/call, check/call, bet/fold is OK if it is safe folding to the river raise. I'm not checkraising the flop for info. I'm checkraising because I think it's likely I have the best hand

[ QUOTE ]
it's likely I have the best hand [/ QUOTE ] I don't think it is. --- Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 86,130 games 0.032 secs 2,691,562 games/sec Board: Jd 9c Kh Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 46.9105 % 44.04% 02.87% { QcJc } Hand 2: 53.0895 % 50.22% 02.87% { 88+, A9s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, AJo+, KQo } --- And even if you are ahead like 52% or whatever, I still don't think it's worth raising since you open yourself up to a 3 bet.
