Re: Call All-in(s) with AK sooooooted? RESULTS
That will happen a lot, I just shrug it off, I still have chips to play with...
Count all the misses too, to get a clearer picture... I try very hard to NOT get all my chips involved in 1 hand, especially PF, unless of course I have a monster. The brutal suckouts will come, they are part of playing the game. I feel sorry for the mega dopes who MUST lose a lot, even when they hit their friggin 2 outer on me. >TW< |

Like you said, better ops to crush them will come soon enough, be patient. >TW< [/ QUOTE ] I made a post about this in the Theory forum, seems like they didn't get it or didn't have much to say. Replied that "in it's given context it means "...." when its context is as stated" Anyway check it out I'd like some comments http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...mp;o=&vc=1 |

Re: Call All-in(s) with AK sooooooted?
You are getting over 2 to 1, as everyone has said there are only 2 hands you are in real trouble against, and against even KK you have hope. I would not lay this down vs agro, his range of hands is way more than AA or KK. Look at it from his perspective, if he is going to play he is pot committed so he mine as well push and try to get it heads up. IMO his range of hands could be 10-10 thru AA, AK, or maybe even AQ or 99. I am going to disagree with the consesus here and say you should call.

Re: Call All-in(s) with AK sooooooted?
[ QUOTE ]
AKs PF to 2 re-raises, is easy muck, [/ QUOTE ] Usually this is true if the raises represent real strength, and there is no dead money. Here, the dead money is significant, and MP's push could easily be a weak hand. [ QUOTE ] you're a coin flip to any pair at the minimum. [/ QUOTE ] So, what? Contrary to popular belief, AKo is a favorite in just about all 3-way pots except if there is an AA, KK, or another AK. AKs is better, of course. The $40 discount you get is highly significant. I think you can call if UTG shows you KK. Even though the raise and push smells like AA, you gain a lot when he has a worse hand and is just trying to isolate the short stack. I think it is a close decision. |

Re: Call All-in(s) with AK sooooooted?
I almost definitely call for the odds on my money. UTG's range includes QQ and possibly JJ, and since you hold AKs you have to weight QQ over AA and KK in terms of baseline probabilities.

Re: Call All-in(s) with AK sooooooted?
If UTG has any clue he'll know you mean business when you raise to 40 preflop... that's over 20% of his stack. He's got a big hand, and is happy to be getting in against the clown MP, and is hoping you'll call too. You're toast!

Re: Call All-in(s) with AK sooooooted?
I go in w/ AA and KK. QQ is probably a fold to a decent player.
we're talking 10 man right? |

Re: Call All-in(s) with AK sooooooted?
Since it's equally he has QQ as AA OR KK (6 possibilities, 3 and 3) this has to be a call. If you give JJ any possibility then it's completely automatic.

Re: Call All-in(s) with AK sooooooted?
I'm surprised by the responses here as this looks like a call to me. You are only crushed by one hand, AA, which is highly unlikely in this situation. Much more likely are KK,QQ or AK. MP was a weak player and didn't need a hand to make that move so even JJ/1010 are possible, given that UTG wants to isolate.
Maybe i'm too loose, but folding here is giving up far too much IMHO given his likely range. |
