Anaheim, Toronto, and Minnesota are very good teams Clayton, and Rogers pitched good against them. He hasn't allowed more than 3 runs in a game all season, and he's only allowed more than 2 runs twice.
He shut out Minnesota IN Minneapolis. |

I'll give you Anaheim and Minnesota, but Toronto is barely above .500
You have to admit, the total array of teams he has pitched against is unimpressive in the scheme of things. He has yet to face Baltimore, Boston, NYY, or the Whitesox. All of which are the meat of the AL. |

John Kruk, you are quite possibly the best gimmick account ever. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with Dead here. I got a good laugh from that. And to answer your question, man, I have no clue. He's defying every statistical projection known to man. I haven't seen some of his advanced peripheral stats, but I would imagine he has an insanely low Hit Rate, meaning that balls put in play are being converted into outs at a greater than average percentage. He also probably has a high strand rate, meaning the bullpen is not allowing runners to score, which helps his ERA. Otherwise, who the hell knows, I think I could hit his fastball. |

Minnesota has a better record than either NY or Boston. [/ QUOTE ] *edit Yes, but Minnesota plays in a shite conference. NYY and Bosox both have worse records because they have to contend with teams like Toronto and Baltimore. Meanwhile, Twins are playing KC, Cleveland, and Detroit. All the challenge comes from Chisox. |
