How much to buy in for in uncapped games

Thanks for the replies, guys. I hadn't specifically thought about the <70bb or >150bb stack size but I have noticed that playing a stack between those boundaries can be difficult (for exactly the reasons stated). Sitting with $300 (with more in my pocket, of course) sound like an excellent idea.
