Nice hand. I play it the same.
Your turn raise is accomplishing something. You're gaining value. When a river call is really close like this, and particularly when you are closing the action, just call it and be done with it. Don't sweat it so much. If you concentrate too hard trying to find good laydowns, you're going to end up folding hands that don't need to be folded, particularly when a lot of low limit players are difficult to read. If there were a couple of people to act behind you, I'd lay it down then. |

I cannot believe that anyone is even thinking about never raising a huge overpair against a large field. You can wait for the turn if you want, but not raising the turn is appalling.
Folding the river is also terrible. The callers don't mean anything in a nickle/dime game with a giant pot. Ask yourself why none of them ever found a raise. Unless the six made someone a second pair I would be surprised if your kings didn't hold up against both of them. The only major question here is how often you can beat SB and the answer is much more than 5%. |
