UTG had AQ for the split. Perhaps I'm missing something, is AQ a 4 betting hand?

Re: Perhaps I should grow a pair?
He might be on a flush draw. I see flops get capped by laggy players with 4flush frequently.
So checking the turn and possibly giving your opponent a free card is right here? I am just curious... |

Re: Perhaps I should grow a pair?
not many will cap preflop with a flush draw, except maybe AKs, and even that would be overplaying IMO. therefore, you cannot put your opponent on the flush draw once the flop hits. more likely, you are against KK or AA.
obviously, slavic's opponent here is overly aggressive, given he has capped preflop w/AQ and 3-bet the flop with the same. cheers! |

Re: Perhaps I should grow a pair?
It doesn't matter at all how you would play them. A LAG would never play them like that. It's a very clear value bet.

Oddly even if a person raises often, their 3 betting standards sre fairly reasonable. It's your better, or perhaps a better way to say this, your more aware players that get out of line with the 3 bet. Few people get totally out of line with a 4 bet unless they are tilting or a maniac. I guess this guy just had to work up to it. |
