Was it that long ago already? It was more like 20 large threads (with a few absolutely priceless Naphand meltdowns mixed in...).

Short answer: possible? Yes, but godlike postflop skillz are required at that extreme degree of lagdom. Some of the better, higher limit players here clearly squeeze extra EV out of plaiying significantly laggier then the 'vanilla' 2+2 22/16/2.5 style...but its not a chicken/egg problem, they can play more hands because they are better, they aren't better because they play more hands if that makes sense.
