[ QUOTE ]
I'd bring a jacket [/ QUOTE ] The thing to remember is that it is a desert, and at nightfall the temperature drops. Even someone hardened by Minnesota winter should bring a jacket. |

It'll be cool. Typical are highs of 65 degrees, but lows near 32 degrees around 6 AM. Jacket weather unless you get lucky.

[ QUOTE ]
Even someone hardened by Minnesota winter should bring a jacket. [/ QUOTE ] This reminds me of when I worked in Tucson for IBM (good old I've Been Moved). There were a lot of people that worked there that had been transferred from Boulder,CO, and you could always spot them in the winter because they'd be comfortably wearing their short-sleeve shirts outside when it was 50-odd degrees. |

It can get really cold at night. Into the 20's soemtimes, and typically into the 30's after midnight. Don't expect shorts and t-shirts weather.

Hey dude, gimme a break.....I lived my whole life in Los Angeles. The coldest weather I have ever been in was when it was 17 degrees in Big Bear(a mountain ski resort a couple hours from Los Angeles) one night. Any time it is in the 20's, it is cold to me.

[ QUOTE ]
20's is "really cold"? Bwhahahaha. [/ QUOTE ] It's not so much that it's cold as that it's cold relative to the temperature during the day. It can still get pretty warm/hot during the day and you get accustomed to that temperature, so when the temerature drops 40 degrees by Midnight you really feel it. In a way, cool nights in the desert feel colder than a place where it's just really cold all day long. |
