On the other hand, I can't imagine Hellmuth is broke, what with all his endorsements.

in this context i'm sure "broke" is a very relative term.

I'm almost positive he's talking about TJ. Some of my friends have told me that you know for sure that you'd made it as a pro once TJ has asked to borrow money from you.

It's not Gus since it's highly unlikely Todd has known him for 15 years. But FWIW, it's sick how much money Ivey has taken off Gus in cash games.

Some of the names you mention rarely play in the mixed big games. But all of the tournamnt specialists are doomed there. Except Allen Cunningham and maybe Danny Boy.

Quit mentioning Johnny and Phil. Chan plays the 2k/4k in Atlantic City - That is his game. Phil doesn't play big cash games - we all know that. So make some more logical choices. Maybe DN. He is known not to be the best cash game player.

It can't be T.J., right? I thought he only played craps, never cash games.

1) since when has DN not been known to be "the best" cash game player
2) he only has 3 bracelets and has been playing tourneys folr the last 7 years, not 15

DN would have been 14 or 15 yeas old fifteen years ago. So nope, don't think so. I think Todd B is talking out of his ass most likely. However if I was to venture a guess as to someone with bracelets who is a losing player at cash games.
