Re: 22: battle of the blinds, Idiot straight
That's definatly a tough hand, but I think he plays a set the same way. So I'm gonna call down too.

Re: 22: battle of the blinds, Idiot straight
[ QUOTE ]
The reason I didn't fold the river is pretty simple....if I fold I have 18BB. If I call I have 15BB...not much of a difference at this blind structure. If I chop or win though I have 24-30BB....this is a huge difference and allows me to accumulate a lot more chips on the bubble through aggressive play. This will be compounded by the presence of two very short stacks. It's pretty close though I think... [/ QUOTE ] By the way, I was saying raise more and then fold the turn, not fold the river. |

Re: 22: battle of the blinds, Idiot straight
Yea, I don't think I would be able to fold this turn without more information. In his position I might donk this turn with a variety of hands...a set or top two pair might do it as a blocking bet and fold to a push...hard to say. I'm also getting almost 4-1 on this call....I think I have the winning hand here 20-30% of the time and split it enough (maybe 10-20%) to make this worth a call.
