Re: The latest word from Party
[ QUOTE ]
High-volume pros & semi-pros are taking money OUT of the party system. [/ QUOTE ] this is untrue. do you see why? |

i would think it is true
if everyone played equally bad (or good for that matter) ALL of the money would eventually get to PP. This way we take a protion of it and put it in our own pockets

Re: The latest word from Party
I stopped playing at party without rakeback. My MGR is over $8000. I'm pretty sure that means party is making less money off of me now than what they were before.

Re: The latest word from Party
I thought about this from day one:
So, the affiliates get the "high volume" players to dump their old accounts and create new ones using their linkes. Everyone of those fuckers claimed to have "worked with Party" blah blah blah. Kick, pow, surprise! They aren't going to be able to track individuals after all! But they're still going to get paid, just we aren't! Wow. What smells? [ QUOTE ] Party plays affiliate fees no matter if they affiliate kicks some back to the player or not. And the sticky post is about rewarding high volume players, which has a much much lower ratio of fish than the population as a whole. If they want to give the fish an entry into a tournament to win a Card Player Cruises cruise, they are free to do so. I don't mind. That however does zilch to satisfy the high volume players. Ive have heard one way around the tracking problem
a small affiliate told a friend that she may have to have players send her their hand histories from PokerTracker.

Re: The latest word from Party
I don't buy that. If there are individual trackers the affiliates won't be able to keep that a secret from the players. Too many people would know.
Besides, most of them have a track record of being honest. |

I've always trusted my affi as well, and they've been on the money. But it's just weird. To have everything in place (more than a few affis said the same thing) and then for it to come out like this is screwy. Let the affis advertise, hell let them get new accounts. They can draw the big dogs back and when they get here, we'll pull the rug out from under them. That's more likely. Somebody knew what was going on. But either way, the affiliates get paid and we don't. |

Re: The latest word from Party
There have been individual tracking lately. Even non rakeback affiliates have said this.

Re: The latest word from Party
I'm not sure I understand why Party would do this. They disliked rake rebates before because the skins were using it to steal players. Why would they care if the affilitates wanted to use their income to buy new computers or hire strippers or kick some back to players? Seems like keeping some of that cash in Party accounts, via rebates, would be in their interest...
