yeah this line is definitely a little better if you have some more money to throw around. He may not think he can move you off a T or JJ here with only 600 left.

well played.
he can't have big pairs every hand and i think going to the felt here moves him off the pot. way to induce a bluff from the aggro. nice hand. |

assigning a reasonable range to villain he probably wants to value bet this, but may not
if he does value bet, he is likely folding to ANY checkraise move in or value bet is my line i'd probably give up 100 in EV and move in for metagame considerations i have villain on 99/88/JT/QJ/AT |

that's quite a narrow range you have. mine includes: 24o, 67s, and 88.

[ QUOTE ]
realize i only have 600 left in my stack. granted i think he usually has nothing here, but for 600 into a 1000 will he bluff his nothing often enough to compensate for when he checks behind with JJ/QQ/any T? [/ QUOTE ] No. Bet all-in. |

Well played... flop lead and turn check makes you look weak. I expect to see AK here more often than any overpair. Would he raise you on the flop with JJ QQ KK AA? He's almost certainly going to make a play on the river if he does have AK, but wouldnt call another penny. I also think the overpairs valuebet behind you and likely call your c/r because your stack is so shallow. good play.

I don't understand why everyone loves this line so much. I hate it. Turn check is fine. But I think river push is far, far better than check.

i'd send it in. you'd be surprised what hands will look you up on that board and action.
