You played this hand fine, you would be surprised how often the overbet works in this spot. I like your thinking and your actions. There is only one hand BB can have to beat you and if he has that hand he is taking my money EVERY time. There are just too many of his hands that he could hold that you beat. Too bad he turned over a better hand.

i've used the play in late position. His way of thinking is that he doesn't have 3 outs, he has up to 10 outs. However, this is a horrible play from the BB. In late position you might buy a free card....from the BB you don't have this option. I'd call it bad play from early position, and strong/gutsy from late.
