Call bitch, you'd be shocked how often some idiot will have slow played a crappier Queen to the river on that board, or something even crazier.

You must be joking. I would consider reraising here.

No, I don't fold. If I didn't want to risk having to invest an extra bet, I'd rather check/call than bet/fold.

Ahh, chip off the old block. Mom would be proud of you for not caring about money.

A 3-bet is worse than a fold. You're pushing out the guy you have beat and matching 2 extra bets HU with the guy who likely has you beat after he caps.
I couldn't make this fold, but it's closer than people think. With that caller in front this is NEVER a bluff; and with a worse Q he's raising the turn almost every time; and the pot isn't THAT big. |

There is just about no way that you are good here but I almost always call. The only thing that you can really hope for is that he has Qx and just decided to lurk until the river.

I feel pretty much the same way. I'd call it but the fact that everyone seems to think this is the worst fold ever makes me think too many are making way too many loose calls on the river.
I don't expect any micro player to make this laydown, but this old thread linked in the SS forum the other day is good food for thought at least... http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/...t=all&vc=1 |
