An additional factor that makes pushing more attractive here is that it sends him a message that you are not to be tinkered with, and he will be less likely to make these steals in future orbits.

Jslag: the problem with this thinking is that you have just jacks. If you have aces or kings your play is fine. With jacks, though, you're going to have overcard(s) way too often to make it a way that you should play this hand.

Also, you are greatly underestimating the contribution to your stack that this pot represents. It's 28K. You have 84k. After this hand, you'll have 112k and he'll have 76k assuming he just folds it for you.

Also, what was your plan if an ace or king flopped? What if two overcards to your jacks flop? Are you really going to just check-fold 1/3 of your stack away? Are you going broke? These concerns should easily prove to you that your play is horrendous here.
