Re: bet river or check behind
First of all a pre-flop raise is in order of std 4BB. You're going to let everybody limp? You've got a strong hand that you'd love to see an A or Q flop and this will happen 30% of the time. Very hard to make any money in a limped pot.
When the flop contains a flush draw it demands a pot-sized bet or if SB still leads then its a pot sized raise. Played this way the hand plays itself. The purpose is to build a pot and take a stack. The way to defend against a draw is to take away implied odds by making Big Bets, esp. at the turn. As played I think a pot-sized raise at the turn is required. This would be ~$26 and I normally round to $25 or $30. On the river I hate value bets. You can't guess how much he'll call. I'm going to slightly overbet and try to make it look like a steal with a busted flush draw. |

Re: bet river or check behind
I'd pop this pre-flop x5 or x6, take away drawing odds on the flop and turn, and then value bet the river for either too much or too little depending on my read.
