so you need this to work 20% of the time. that means 80% of the time he can't have a T, 9, overpair, ace high, some think maybe king high. what hands other than those might he have? 78, JQ, J8, 2 clubs, smaller PP, 4x, maybe a random bluff, something like 67, Qx, etc. there's only 4 T's or 9's left in the deck, i don't know that he's likely to play an overpair like this, and besides the nut flush draw some other Ax doesn't make too much sense either. he's too loose for me to bother doing any sort of combinatorics but i think it just might be a nice bluff.

i also never raise this flop.

and really, how'd you get your name changed? i want to change mine. but then the non_conformist challenge i was going to win disappeared

Why raise the flop though??

[/ QUOTE ]

I never know how to handle this situation. I sometimes:

1) Raise the flop, bet the turn, check behind on the river unimproved
2) Just call down unless a club hits then fold
3) Fold immediately to the flop bet
4) Call the flop and raise if a big card hits the turn

What should be my standard line?

Thanks,
Cartman

I like a combination of 2 and 4.

Am I correct to fold when a club hits in 2)?

Assuming you don't hold a club, I'd say yes.
