Bet turn, folding to a check/raise. The turn 3-flush and no high card limits the number of hands he can reasonably call with. So a fold is fairly likely.

You want me to fold to a check raise with the nut flush draw?

The more I look at this hand, the more I like the idea of betting the turn to represent the flush as a semi-bluff, with your outs to improve to either the nut flush or top pair if called.

I would also feel inclined to check behind on the river.

By the way one thing which I would not have felt as confident about, (which no one else seems to have commented on), was your 3-betting the original PF raiser without any reads.

I would have felt more inclined to flat call for 1 sb, and would probably have folded if I had not already had to post a bet.

Does anyone else have any thoughts about the PF 3-bet?

My reason for 3 betting was to a. buy the button, and b. hopefully fold the blinds. I liked this hand 3 way and that's how I wanted to play it. Being my first hand, and having a strong hand with position, I wanted to take control of the hand. I took control, but didn't use it. Or maybe I did since they didn't bet into me and I got a free showdown. I don't really like cold calling with anything, especially not with AQ, and no way am I folding to an undercard flop.

3-bet is even more correct since it only costs you the same as a raise.

I agree with semi-bluffing the turn, with a plan to call a raise, folding the river unimproved. Against two opponents you may have folding equity here. MP1 may have overcards w/o diamonds that he doesn't like anymore. UTG+2 may have a low pocket pair he is dying to dump. If you bet and are called by anyone, I would check behind on the river.

Whether or not you check or bet the turn depends on your read. If these are the kind of guys who like to peel any flop and see what the turn brings, fire away. If they're willing to fold the flop w/o a hand, you'd rather see a free river w/ your NFD because that trey is unlikely to make them love whatever they have any less. River check behind is good. I'd be pretty happy if I wasn't shown a 7.

Very much agree with this. It seems a lot of the players I play against are very willing to call the flop with a gutshot or BD flush/straight draw but will not call the turn with the gutshot, esp. w/ 3-flush on the board. So my default play w/o reads is often to fire again on the turn. But when you realize a player will not call the flop without some piece of it, then taking the free card is the best idea.
