Re: playing crap on-line
Maybe it feels less like real money when it's animation on a screen rather than handling clay chips. I think I have this problem periodically, and I'm trying hard to get rid of it. I should probably stop playing when I'm tired, which is when I make my biggest bonehead plays. Actually, I've taken a little hiatus from poker, and it kind of feels good (I've been occupying my time with an online Settlers of Catan game here). I'm hoping that when I return to playing poker, I'll be a bit sharper and less prone to silly plays.

Re: playing crap on-line
No, keep playing online, and switch over to limit, you can play way more crap cards that way since the betting is smaller! Play at my tables too.

so maybe on-line is not for me. I should only play live. [/ QUOTE ] If you want to continue playing online, you simply have to practice your discipline. Have a couple of short (ca 1 hour) sessions, where you play at most 2 tables, and promise yourself to consider every bet/call you make carfully. Afterwards, review your hand histories. Don't play longer sessions or more tables until you are confident that you are disciplined enough to only play premium hands. |
