Oops, mis-read your post...I guess I would check after him since he smooth called your raise. If he checks again on river and it's not a scare card,prob pot sized bet.

I check it here. I like keeping the pot from getting tooo large here. I would kind of hate to get check raised on the turn and I want to let villian bluff it on the river if I do have him beat.

Bet $35. You're good here almost always. 88, QQ-AA are you're only concerns. He's not playing like he has any of those hands. This may be an exception because you posted it, but this is a common situation, and you can't check here given the action. It's too likely he has a flush draw.
