Re: Is this for real?
i can't imagine them being able to find enough players to do this. it would be difficult to fill a s&g with a one million dollar buy in.

Re: Is this for real?
Think about it this way, you would need the equivalent of a winner-take-all 1,000 person major tournament (as defined today) to produce ONE seat.
"If it's OK with you, I think I'm going to opt for the cash value instead of using my seat." |

Re: Is this for real?

Re: Is this for real?
I could only see this taking place if the players have a private prize splitting deal on the side. If the players are putting up 10 million, I'm sure there will be a few million in added money. The players make an agreement so they are splitting the added money according to finish.
This way everyone gets their buy-in back plus some and they all get credit for playing in the biggest game ever. |

Re: Is this for real?
From the link
""If Joe wants to play, we'd be happy to have him on board," Mr Longhurst said. "We're going to have talks with Joe." Mr Longhurst said players would either put up their own $13.3 million to play or have their entry fee paid by sponsors. In high-stakes international poker competitions it is common for sponsors, such as online poker companies, to pay the entry fees for players they use to promote their online gambling sites." Re: Is this for real?
damn I'd hate to see the vig on 10 million. stupid idea. I know a lot of gamblers who win and lose the equivalent of a Mercedes in day and even they won't gamble for this much. Y
