It's enough to 8-table if you're a winning player. And 100s are nowhere NEAR twice as hard. I'd say they are about the same difficulty. 200s you see SOME increase in difficulty, but honestly not that much. The exact same play that I was using to beat the 25s I am using the beat the 200s. I honestly cannot point to very many adjustments that I have had to make. Essentially the only difference is that people tighten up a bit preflop as you move up, but with good table selection even that is untrue.

Wow, I really expected a huge difference. How much can a decent player make BB/hour/table? I ask this because I've seen just horrible plays. One example is I hit quads and had two people call me all in with the 3rd highest flush and a mid pair.

I expected to see the nut flush and a boat, or something like that.

People can make a ridiculous amount of money. Just play them and see for yourself. But at SSNL, the keys to the kingdom are in moving up. Every step up DOUBLES your stakes. So even if you cut your winrate in HALF your earn stays the same. And since the games aren't anywhere NEAR twice as hard, your win rate shouldn't fall even CLOSE to half. Move up as quickly as you can.

I plan on moving up once my roll hits the 3k mark. I have a 9.34ptbb/100 on the 50's, usually 4-tabling (granted, only after 22.5k *recorded* hands, but I have been trashing them for a long time.

One thing Im worried about is the certain trends that can persist at a certain level. I would be very used to habits of the 50s players, but obviously moving to the 100s would mean I have to familiarise myself with new trends. As an experienced player at both levels, do you think it is worth playing very tight/rock game until I feel comfortable or familiar with the new trends? Or do you think these trends are worth worrying about?

I very much appreciate the advice. I'm slower to move up because I am attempting to keep variance down and am trying to avoid ruin. While this has kept my bankroll slowly moving up, I think it may have stunted my playing growth as well.

Thank you for the advice, I'm definitly going to think about what you said for a while.

There are no new trends. The same crappy players play the same crappy way. Just there are slightly fewer crappy players. And now there are a few decent players thrown into the mix, too. So you have to use some table selection and don't be afraid to leave a bad table. You could just add in a table or two of 100 while playing 6 more 50s if you want.

Fender, even though you say that your going to play a very rock-like game, I would recommend you having 30buy ins before moving up. 20 buy ins is the roll for a player who is beating the level, but since you have know knowledge yet of how you will perform, you should have the extra backing to cushion any expensive lessons you may have to learn.

PTBB is Pokertracker Big Bet. Pokertracker defines a NL Big Bet as twice the big blind.

So ABC works for beating the 100s even the 200s, in the same way it would the 25s?

Yes. I'm pretty sure it beats the 400s, too.
