Re: 1/2 nl live QQ
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] stacks villain ~120$ hero ~300$ preflop hero has Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] MP and makes it 15$, 4 callers: flop (75$ after rake blinds folded): J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] checks to me with 2 other behind, i bet 50$, 1 folds button goes all in for 101$, folds to me. with this many people in, i'm sure he has a set, but is this foldable for 51$ more with 226$ in the pot? i'm getting 4.5:1 to call. [/ QUOTE ] You can't be sure he has a set. Diamonds, AJ, straight draw? If you see sets everywhere you are going to make some big mistakes. [/ QUOTE ] you're right, but who is pushing all in on the button with 2 people behind him, me, then 1 person to my left to act after i've already bet 50$. the chances of a set are huge with 4 people in if they are all playing PP's. i was listening to the raiser's convo from a few hands before and watched him play, he made no mistakes that i noticed. |

Re: 1/2 nl live QQ
I used to really outthink myself at low stakes. Especially live. However, most donks don't think about how many people are left to act, about how good his fold equity is, about how many outs he has if he is behind.
They think "i got top pair" or "I can push him out with my flush draw!" If you have a good reason to think this guy is not a donk, by all means apply a more searching analysis (sorry, I'm immersed in law school). |
