You shoulda said all in. And if anyone called then you flip your hand up and declare the pot dead. If everyone folds you muck of course.

The last satellite I played at the Rio went something like this, I was 3rd to act at a full table. UTG limped. Blinds were 25-50. I had about T800. I limped with 9c,7c.

What do you think you are daniel N. calling raises with 97s? only he can get away with that garbage because he sold his soul to the devil so he can play as bad as he can and still win.

I probably shouldn't answer this, but here goes.

The limp was questionable because it was for 1/16 of his stack. With deep money, coming in as the second limper with 97s is fairly standard.

I think he had to fold rather than put in 1/4 of his stack in preflop with 97s. It is in general OK to call a raise with a suited connector with deep money, but not for 1/4 of your stack. It would have been possible to push on a semibluff resteal, although this play works best for the first limper. 97s doesn't play too badly against AK or AQ allin. However, in this case it would be a very bad read.

DN does make some unusual calls with suited connectors and the like. However, he generally does it with deeper money and against worse players. In this case, I don't think Vince was that much better a player than Mel Judah. DN is very good at reads and postflop play so he can make plays work that no one else can.

Now every fish who plays garbage will be able to justify it by saying he is playing like DN.

T1000, 25-25 blinds, blinds double every 15 minutes.
