I don't think the point of it is to help you with table selection so much as choosing what to do late in tourneys based on other players' stats.

What if it had the ability to auto-seat you, and avoid players with certain criteria?

That'd be incredibly useful for some players.

about 50 bucks. I would need to be able to input my own screen name and see the stats it brings up for me before I would buy it. Thats what kept me away from poker prophecy. my stats were totally wrong

If it were more accurate, and if it had ROI, it would be worth a lot more to me. As in, I might actually buy it.

I don't find ITM a very useful stat. I can easily have the same ITM as a notable loser and as a notable winner. Add to that that my ITM there has always been 10% too high or even higher, regardless of who well I was doing, and the program to me is something I'd really like to get excited about, but somehow just can't manage to.

All these things would be extremely useful....the more the better. And they would probably be worth more than anyone would realistically pay, or more than you could dream of charging.

Okay maybe worth was the wrong word... What would you realistically be willing to pay? What about for a SNG tracker to go with it?

I'd be willing to pay quite a lot if it was very useful, but more than the majority of people, thus it wouldn't make any sense to price it that high. Normal price for something like this would be anywhere from $30-$100, with 50-60 being best. I mean honestly Pokertracker is like 50 bucks and I can't imagine anyone coming up with something more useful than that.

Eastbay's program is 80 bucks and also very useful, however probably Pokertrackeris currently more important to have although I suppose it depends. However Eastbay's is clearly worth 80 bucks.

The price you charge really depends on whether or not you want it to be a mainstream product or a niche product. I consider eastbay's product a niche product. I could be way off here, but I would think only the hardcore SNG'er would by it at 80bucks (mostly because ICM is way over a casual players head). Meanwhile, something like pokerprophecy appeals to the masses, and 50 bucks is just about the right price for something like that.

I agree. eastbay's program is costly, but I kind of like that in a way, to tell you the truth.

For a program that would do the kind of things the OP is talking about, I'd probably pay $100 or more. I've bought Pokertracker and eastbay's program, and don't mind spending money that helps me make money or helps me manage my money better. That sort of thing seems to pay for itself in the long run.
