There's more to D-line than sacks. I hesitate to put Freeney or Rice on a list like this because they're such liabilities against runs to their side of the formation. Rice has apparently improved his run technique & desire a lot over the years, but I can remember when he was playing for Arizona an a tight end could drive him one-on-one, no sweat.

(The year was 1998. "The Cactus Curtain." Simeon Rice, Eric Swann, Mark Smith, and Andre Wadsworth. Memories... pressed between the pages of my mind...)

As a Patriots fan, I think Richard Seymour is overrated.

I think you should break out DT's and DE's. Comparing Seymour and Freeney seems tough.

As a Patriots fan myself--I think you should reconsider. How good do you have to be to make a Pro Bowl playing for New England? Pretty darn good. Seeing that Bruschi has only made 1 pro bowl, and that Seymour has made 2, are you going to say next that Bruschi is overrated?
