I say move up. At .5/1, the money is kind of insignificant if you're looking at the amount you're making per hour. At 1/2, the money starts to become a lot more significant because it's easy to clear bonuses. It's pretty easy to make $20 / hour at 1/2 if you judiciously clear bonuses and can play 3-4 tables.

It's that 10k hands is more than I play in the average month, and I play a fair bit of poker. The poker pros are the ones who play 10k hands/week. [/ QUOTE ] |

If you can afford the risk, you can move up if you want. It is not significantly different skillwise anyway. If you want to enter 1/2 being confident that you will be a winner here, play at least 20K more and reach a winrate around 4-5BB/100. My 0.02$.

I can't believe how bad I have been playing. If I have a point, it's to not let the limit change keep you from playing your A game. In my case, I think going from 4 tables to one was bad, since one table isn't fast enough to keep me paying attention. -D |

just be patient is all i can say. even though i believe the players in 1/2 are just as bad as in .5/1. a lil bit tighter but not by much. i would just work on the lil things before moving up. obviously, you know how to play when u think you are way ahead. but, i think working on the situations where you are not sure where you stand (i.e. WA/WB) will be of significance to your winrate. also, value betting on the river where many ppl miss out. i think a suitable winrate before moving up should be no less than 4BB/100 over a good amount of hands.
