"At party poker you dont really need to concentrate on the other players."
I strongly disagree with this. I don't doubt you can make a profit, low-limit mostly, but not knowing your players is ignoring alot of earn. It is worth the work. MS Sunshine |

I want to know the people I'm playing against. I use my notes in the Party note function with the bubble hint option on. I no longer study players while I'm playing with them. I take 1-2 hours a day to update my notes and get a fix on their play then.
I use to play 2-3 games ($10-20 ring, tournys (1-table and multis) and $100 NLH), but with PT and my improved notes I'm playing 3-4. I have little problem playing five for a couple of hours. MS Sunshine |

I believe I am able to play a solid game on that many tables because of the practice I've had playing online. I started back when Planet Poker was the only game in town.
But I agree it is certainly not an optimal game at each table. I'll sometimes muck a hand I believe is slightly profitable if there's too much going on at the other tables. |

I like to play 3 NL tables 10 handed and work on clearing Pacific bonus at the same time, so four total.

this makes a mockery of the complaints about bots
you are effectively a bot, pretty much playing all hands in a particular way, or, vice versa, your opponents are effectively playing against a bot you might as well buy the bot programme and free up a lot of time for yourself - there certainly can be no enjoyment in the game of poker for you |

it has not been proven anywhere that a bot can come anywhere close to a real player in terms of profit. furthermore, what he does and why he does it remains his business. for many, profit is enjoyment. your judgement is totally unwarranted.
howver, fwiw, i seriously doubt his assertion that he could play 15 tables without signifigant error and/or slowdown. 8 is very doable. i do 6 because i like to be able to watch tv, talk, jet to the bathroom while my gf plays my hands, etc. |

I tried playing 2 this weekend and got massively confused.
Of course I only have a 17 inch monitor and one table fills over half my screen. So with 2 tables I was constantly switching screens, I am under the assumption that people who play 2+ tables consistantly dont have this problem becuase they have it set up so 3 tables wont overlap each other. |

many 17" monitors are capable of running at 1280x1024 resolution, which is sufficient (but not optimal) for multi-table play.
to play 6 tables, i use 2 1600x12000 20" lcds. each party/skin table takes up 1/4th of the screen, so i have enough room for 6 as well as the 2 lobbies with no overlap. i am adding another video card to use an existing crt (21" or 19", haven't decided which one i want to keep) to have a third monitor for browsing/email/etc so that doesn't get in my way any more. |
